Hooray we actually grew something...

Most people have zucchini growing out of their ears... or the size of logs... nope not us we have ONE!

It was a blueberry pancake kind of morning...

Oh my... did we have fun in the dirt or what?...

She so needs a bath this weekend!

Yesterday we finished up the school shopping. First stop school supplies...

Forty dollars later school supplies were bought and later labeled...

The shoes that Ainsley's been waiting FOREVER to go on sale were finally bought...

So yeah not much of a sale $3 bucks off but an extremely happy girl... and a new haircut too... short in the back and long in the front...

Walker got the rest of his school clothes shirts, shorts and shoes... not nearly as fun but this Mama was happy with a deal on Sketchers... and Walker was happy to once again NOT have to get tie shoes!!

Three weeks and counting until school starts!

Another lost tooth this afternoon...

Yesterday we went shopping at the teenage store... eeks! Ainsley is more aware of "name brands" now and so I thought we'd check it out. She was super excited that the small sizes were a perfect fit and got a first day of school shirt and hoodie... as we left it was constant hugs and "thank yous"... good times.

It is apricot time...

I picked all the lower branches last week... chopped and cooked...

And made 10 jars of jam...

Getting really sick of scooping up rotten ones from the ground. Willow is officially on the leash until apricot season is over. She will eat all the ones on the ground and then lay on the desk whining...

I plan to get the rest of the top branches picked today and donated... I so do not want to see another apricot!

Last week it was hot... 99 degrees is just too unbearable... even with air-conditioning. So after a dinner of popsicles we needed an outing... especially Willow. We loaded up everyone and headed to Petco... to burn off some kid and dog energy.

So many smells to check out... a good trip indeed.

Finally a blog update... I know it's been awhile.  Couple weeks ago it was scouts and the activity for the night was Ice Block Sledding...

Once the block melted a bit you really got going down the hill...

Ainsley had a turn too...

Carrying that Ice Block up the hill after sledding down for an hour sure tuckered them out that night!

We are NOT off to a great start with the garden...
